Clyde & Co are fighting £ 9million negligence lawsuit for settlement

By Silvia Martelli (December 16, 2021, 6:27 p.m. GMT) – Clyde & Co has hit back at a £ 9million ($ 12million) negligence lawsuit brought by two Nigerian shipping companies, denying giving bad advice when suggested settling a dispute over the ownership of the company.

The law firm said in its defense filed with the High Court on Monday that it correctly advised Nigerian companies to sign a settlement agreement in their lawsuit to seek a declaration of ownership from another shipping company .
