Texas Gas Co. may sue for spills

By Hope Patti (January 24, 2022, 8:12 p.m. EST) – A Traveler unit lost its bid on Monday to launch a lawsuit against a Texas oil and gas company for denying coverage for a saltwater spill that occurred at one of its well sites.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Irma Carrillo Ramirez denied St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Co.’s motion to dismiss, rejecting the insurer’s argument that Pogo Resources LLC’s breach of contract and bad faith claims had no no value and have made no claim.
