The federal government wants the offshore wind combination of Mass. of Solar Co. explodes

By Hailey Konnath (February 2, 2022, 8:59 PM EST) – The US government on Wednesday urged a federal court in Massachusetts to launch a solar developer’s challenge to federal approvals for the first commercial-scale offshore wind project in the country, arguing that the company does not have standing to pursue the project.

The government said Allco Renewable Energy Ltd. and owner Thomas Melone have reported no actual or imminent economic harm they will suffer as a result of the 800 megawatt Vineyard Wind project off the coast of Massachusetts.
